Three generations of environmental knowledge, applied to today’s property decisions.
EnviroHandy grew from a family legacy in indoor air quality science, environmental testing, and complex property work. Today, that experience supports clear consulting, careful inspections, defensible testing, and reports that help clients decide what comes next.
Scientific Integrity
Careful observations, appropriate testing, and independent laboratory analysis give each conclusion a sound basis.
Practical Field Experience
Decades of testing, remediation, construction, and property investigation inform advice that works outside the report.
Clear Direction
Findings are translated into priorities, practical recommendations, and a scope clients can act on.
Generational Foundations
Our Environmental Lineage
EnviroHandy builds upon a 35-year family reputation established at the inception of modern indoor environmental testing in the Mid-Atlantic region.
Pioneering Radon Measurement Technology
Robert Ramsey co-developed the original Radon testing electret ion chamber radon testing technology — a passive radiation measurement device still utilized by certified inspectors nationwide. This scientific breakthrough laid the foundation for accessible, accurate indoor air quality testing.
Founding RTS Environmental Services
Building on early indoor environmental awareness, Paul and Michelle Ramsey founded RTS Environmental Services in Maryland. They introduced residential radon testing, lead-based paint inspections, and asbestos sampling to thousands of homeowners and real estate professionals across the Washington Metropolitan area.
Field Experience, Focused on Better Decisions
Alexander Ramsey launched EnviroHandy to bring the family’s environmental knowledge together with firsthand experience in remediation, construction, and complex property investigation. The company now applies that background through consulting, diagnostic testing, inspections, written reports, and carefully scoped specialized engagements.
